Kola Oyeniran
Experience & Activities
Kola Oyeniran has been in the ICT industry since 1991 working in various capacities and in different sectors. He started his career as an IT consultant with PricewaterHouseCoopers and later joined Intercellular Nig Ltd (a telecommunications firm) and rose to Head, ICT . Thereafter, he joined John Holt plc as a General Manager (GM) ICT.  He had lecturing experience  with Redeemer’s University (RUN) Ede, Osun State before moving to National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI)Abuja overseeing the entire ICT infrastructures  of the Research Agency under the Presidency as Head/Assistant Director ICT in 2013
In February 2023, He was redeployed to PEDI (Prototype Engineering Development Institute) Ilesa Osun Sate, an Institute under NASENI  and appointed as Ag. MD of the Institute, the position he held till  8th Jamuary, 2025 when he attained the mandatory retirement age in Civil Service.
He bas attended several local and overseas trainings on ICT and presented papers at local and international seminars/ conferences in South Africa and UAE. Â He is currently doing his Phd research work on Identity Management in an Enterprise environment. He is an active member of NCS(Nigeria Computer Society).
Specific duties and roles performed and projects handled in the last 34 years of his career include:
- Development and  Implementation  of IT Policy
- Supervise the operations of all MIS Managers who are in charge of all IT infrastructures (and telecommunications facilities) in Oregun, Port-Harcourt, Warri, Enugu, Ibadan, Calabar, Benin, Sokoto, Kano, Maiduguri and Kaduna while in John Holt Plc
- Review  Server and workstation (backup, Anti-Virus) log files as maintained by MIS Managers in all locations (Apapa, Port Harcourt, Oregun)
- System Administration of SunAccounts system.
- Liaise with Software and Hardware vendors to ensure that the company’s IT systems are in good working condition.
- Documentation of IT infrastructures
- Network planning for new operational branch(es) and deployment of IT facilities.
- Liaise with other departments/business units for their IT needs and advise executive management.
- Preparation of the company’s IT budget & Monitoring
- Development of  IT Consumables system for John Holt Plc.
- Training of staff on ICT including legacy and off-the-shelf softwares
- Implementation/Administration of MS-Exchange 2000 Mail system for the company
- Configuring and Administering Windows 2000 Advanced Server
- Implementation and Administration of McAfee anti-virus Enterprise edition including e-policy orchestrator.
- Development of Specifications for Hardware and software products
- In Charge of an Engineering Institute of over 150 staff formulating policies, design and execution of projects as Ag. MD .
He is happily married with three children
