Wande Smith is an engineer, data and technology professional, and regulatory leader with experience across data governance, analytics, artificial intelligence, energy regulation, and complex industrial operations.

He served as a Deputy Manager at the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), having previously worked within its Integrated Data Mining and Analytics Centre on data engineering, analytics, standardization, and decision-support initiatives.

A COREN-registered engineer and member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Wande brings a multidisciplinary perspective to data governance, with particular interests in responsible AI, regulatory innovation, data quality, institutional data strategy, and building trusted data ecosystems that support eOective decision-making and digital transformation.
